You Need This: An SCCA SPU racer in need of a fresh engine

A familiar story to many in our scene: Parting with a project simply because there isn’t enough time to finish it.

Billed as an SCCA SPU racer with wins at Daytona and Sebring, the car has been refurbished with several new components and is currently set up for a 2.3-liter Ford engine.

All that’s left that needs to be completed? “Just needs [a] motor rebuild and a few finishing touches,” says the seller.

I could be wrong, but this looks like it has some oval-track genes. Not a bad thing, especially given its record.

The seller certainly has oval-track roots, too. Interesting.

Interesting. Looks like an Outlaw Modified (4cyl, open wheel, offset chassis circle track class) with a modified nose and custom body. That would be a hoot to drive. If anyone gets this and needs a motor, I know a guy.
